For shits and giggles I'd DD that. It'd be a hoot.

I would totally buy this and a cabin way the hell up in the mountains and have this be my snow cat. I bet you could even fit it with tracks in the back if you are creative enough

I'm honestly considering it, except I think you need a CDL for the 813 due to the weight.

I've seen as low as $9k for seriously beat-up ones, I'd imagine north of $60k the better the condition.

Read the specs, you don't even need the cabin, just a place in the country to park it.

As for the tracks, someone was already creative.

Check your local laws... but I support you getting a CDL to be able to drive the most bad ass vehicle ever. it is pretty much a rolling bomb shelter. You can tell all the zombie apocalypse mother fuckers to pound sand if you have command of this vehicle. . .

As Nike is wont to say "JUST DO IT!"

It gets better (my subconscious was working on it)! So that you can get the lowest possible ground pressure (aka flotation on snow) dually the rear wheels and put the track set on them, and on the front wheels, either balloon tires, or duallies with the single wheel cleat version of the track system to bridge the gap between wheels. I am not sure if this would work on the front wheels; due to the close spacing they might interfere with each other, greatly increasing turn radius.

Well, since kinja won't let me edit:

It looks like there are a few different spacings on the Tatra front wheels, some wider than others.
